Main Project Goals:
- Robot could detect and follow a black line using 5 IR sensors
- Robot stopped when it detected an obstacle in front of it using an ultrasonic sensor
- Robot could safely transport and dispense an egg into a cup filled with water
Much experience was gained from teamwork, programming various sensors with the Arduino IDE, analyzing data, and designing functional hardware.
The greatest challenge of this project was designing a low-cost mechanism for dispensing the egg and keeping it safe, as well as programming all of the components to work together.
The entirety of the project strengthened the team's leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, as well as gave the team experience in designing, prototyping, and finalizing a working robot.
